What is the ADDIE training cycle?

Delegates on my group Train the Trainer Silver programme receive an introduction to / reminder of the ADDIE training cycle, covering:

Analyse Learning/behaviour/performance needs analysis, exploring stakeholder, audience and business needs.

Design Setting aim, SMART objectives (informed by Bloom’s Taxonomy) and required outcomes to meet needs, producing the recommended agenda and the blueprint ready for client sign-off.

Develop Courseware content creation skills required to achieve aim, objectives and outcomes, including trainer scripts, PowerPoints, practical exercises, scenarios, delegate manuals, roleplays etc.

Implement Confident public speaking and presentation skills for delivering and facilitating classroom and online events, roleplays, workshops, development programmes, audience management, 1-1 training

Evaluate The Kirkpatrick four stage process for evaluating training impact, covering Reaction / Learning / Behaviour / Results & Return on Investment (RoI)

Outcome Your new SME trainers will return to the workplace with new knowledge, skills and mindsets ready to begin delivering effective training.

Outcome Your current trainers will refresh their knowledge, revisit their practice and return ready to mentor your new trainers.
